Army Special Forces Giclee Series Set
"The Glorious Amateurs"
This print is dedicated to the men and women of the OSS. Legends like Jack Singlaub, Aaron Bank, Paul Cyr, William Colby, Bob Kehoe - the Jedburghs who led America's first shadow war in Europe during WWII. The Jedburghs were carefully selected elite, thinking soldiers teamed with British and French soldiers to infiltrate behind German lines to organize/train the French resistance and then lead them in combat operations against Nazi forces. The Jedburghs were the precursor to today's Army Special Forces and elements of the CIA.
As a multi-national force, the Jedburghs were coordinated and often equipped in part by the British Special Operations Executive (SOE). The American Jeds depicted in this print are equipped with a mixture of British and American uniforms and equipment while using American weaponry. The French maquis fighters are using a mixture of SOE supplied British weapons (like the Bren light machine gun and the Sten sub-machine gun) and captured German weapons.
Each giclee print measures 25" x 19" and is printed with archival inks on museum quality fine art paper. Paper prints are sold unframed and shipped rolled in a cardboard tube. The paper print includes SOE insignia and British jump wings used by Jedburgh troops on either side of the print title.
"Good in the Woods"
The Studies and Observations Group or “SOG” of Military Assistance Command Vietnam dispatched Green Berets on some of the Vietnam War’s most dangerous missions - deep behind enemy lines in Laos and Cambodia to interdict the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Their history is storied with SOG Green Berets earning nine Medals of Honor. Long range reconnaissance missions, bomb damage assessments, kidnapping, assassinations and direct action all in the deep triple canopy jungle. Once a recon man had attained the respect of his fellow SOG teammates, he was said to be “good in the woods”. This print depicts a recon team deep in the Laotian jungle. The team includes the Montagnard mercenaries who the Special Forces soldiers came to love so dearly. The recon man on the team’s far left carries a cut-down communist RPD machine gun while the other SOG men carry the XM-177 carbine. A one-of-a-kind depiction of MACVSOG in action, this print bears the signatures of legendary Special Forces soldiers and SOG veterans Billy Waugh, John Plaster and John Stryker “Tilt” Myer (digitally added to the print). Each museum quality Giclee print measures 25" x 19".
"Execute, Execute, Execute"

This print is dedicated to those SF soldiers depicting the aggression and tenacity they have directed against our Nation’s enemies in countless missions often executed under the cover of darkness. Each museum quality Giclee print measures 25" x 19".
